PTA & SITE COUNCIL

|
The Landell PTA is a non-profit organization that is committed to positively impacting the lives of children. At Landell, the PTA and school staff team up to coordinate programs and events for the students, which provide additional experiences beyond the classroom. PTA sponsors grade level field trips, student assemblies, Art Programs, Family Nights, Book Fairs, Science Fairs, and more through funds raised at our annual school Carnival, Silent Auction and Walk-A-Thon. All programs and activities sponsored by PTA are coordinated by volunteers. Opportunities to help are always available and parent involvement is encouraged. PTA Board Meetings are generally held the first Wednesday of each month that school is in session. All PTA activities are presented and reviewed at these meetings and everyone is welcome to attend. Your School Site Council consists of an equal number of representatives of employees of Cypress School District and parents who are not employees of the District. The School Site Council is an advisory group for Landell School. The Landell School Site Council has representatives on the District Advisory Committees (DAC). This is an opportunity to help bring information and questions to the District and report back to the members and those who attend the meetings. The meetings are open to all and the general public is welcome. The responsibility of the School Site Council is to make recommendations for the overall good of students. Responsibilities of the School Site Council fall under California State guidelines. The council works with the staff and principal of Landell School. The budget and other major decisions are subject to the approval of the Cypress School District Board of Education. |
