New Attendance Boundaries Effective June 2010

Attendance Options for Swain and Cawthon Students

 

Choices for current Swain students regardless of the new boundaries include:

 

  • 6th grade students can remain together at King School

  • Club Swain students can attend King School

  • If you would like to attend a school other than the one in your boundary area, you may apply for an Intradistrict transfer during the open enrollment period starting February 19, 2010.  Swain and Cawthon students will be given priority over other new Intradistrict transfer requests, and permits will be granted on a space available basis.

  • Current students attending Swain on Inter or Intradistrict transfers may remain with their peers.

 

Choices for current Cawthon students regardless of the new boundaries include:

 

  • 6th grade students can remain together at Arnold School

  • All students may choose between the year-round calendar at Landell School and a traditional calendar at the school that falls within their boundaries (Arnold or Morris)

  • If you would like to attend a school other than the one in your boundary area, you may apply for an Intradistrict transfer during the open enrollment period starting February 19, 2010.  Swain and Cawthon students will be given priority over other new Intradistrict transfer requests, and permits will be granted on a space available basis.

  • Current students attending Cawthon on Inter or Intradistrict transfers may remain with their peers.

 

School choice surveys for Swain and Cawthon parents will be distributed by the week of February 8, 2010.
