Standard Dress Mode
Dear King Parents,
We are all anxiously waiting for our return to our home King School to begin the 2011-2012 school year at a newly modernized campus. With this physical move back, we are also reminded about other King student expectations.
During the transition time while we have been at an interim site, we were more relaxed about some of our student dress expectations. Since we had so many new students who were previously unaware of our school dress requirements, we were very lenient about the enforcement of dress code. This was to allow all of our families to understand the rule and to obtain clothing that fits our requirements. During this time, some long time King Students were under the impression that this was no longer a rule.
King School is, and has been for many years, a Standard Mode of Dress School. This rule is in place to keep our students safe, focused on learning, and being in the mindset that school is our job and we take that job seriously. King will continue to be a Standard Mode school for the upcoming school year, with renewed emphasis for all students. Please see the attached document for specific information about these dress expectations.
As you are obtaining clothing for the upcoming school year, please keep this paper handy for reference. Also remember that we will be selling school t-shirts at the start of the school year, and school shirts are always acceptable attire that fits the Standard Mode Criteria.
